Dear California Legislators:
Children's mental health is in crisis. The rise of social media use among kids correlates with the rise in youth suicide, eating and anxiety disorders, and a massive increase in kids going to emergency rooms for mental health related issues.
The U.S. Surgeon General has deemed improving the mental health of our kids as a priority -- California lawmakers need to pass laws that protect children and prohibit social media companies from designing their platforms in ways they know hurt and addict children.
Please make protecting kids online a priority in this legislative session.
