Sarah Lyon is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business (KSB). Sarah worked in public accounting as a tax accountant prior to completing her PhD at the University of California, Irvine, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She teaches courses in beginning and intermediate financial accounting, taxation, and accounting policy, and received the Undergraduate Accountancy Professor of the Year award in 2015, 2017, and 2019. Her research interests include tax avoidance, auditor judgment and decision making, audit quality, deception, communication methods and corporate social responsibility. Professor Lyon is the Graduate Program Director for the MACC and MTAX programs.
