Yen-Ting (Daniel) Lin, PhD, is the associate dean for faculty and operations at the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business, where he is also a professor of operations and business analytics.
Lin is generally interested in supply chain issues in the presence of competition. He looks into companies' pricing strategies when customers strategically wait for markdowns and vertical integration strategies. His recent research also includes issues on environmentally and socially responsible operations. In particular, he looks into the impact of various instruments, including eco-friendly labels, government regulations and blockchain technology, on firms' product design, pricing and sourcing decisions.
Lin received his PhD in operations management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his master's in management science and engineering from Stanford University, and his bachelor's in industrial engineering from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.
