Z. Jeff Chen is an adjunct instructor in the Knauss School of Business, where he teaches Introduction to Supply Chain Management. He earned his M.S. in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Diego.
Jeff has more than 15 years of experience working across the food industry, from manufacturing to restaurant operations. With a background as both a food scientist and a supply chain professional, he has worked on projects in research and development, quality management, supplier management, strategic sourcing, and cost management. His career has allowed him to see how product designs directly affect supply chain decisions which shape products, businesses, and the customer experience.
He is especially interested in how digital tools and new technologies are transforming food supply chains and improving the way information is managed and flows across businesses. Jeff enjoys bringing these real-world insights into the classroom and helping students discover how supply chain management connects to everyday life and future career opportunities.
