Ruixia (Sandy) Shi is a professor of operations and business analytics and chair of the supply chain, operations and information systems department at the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business. Her research interests include supply chain management, service operations and business analytics.
Shi graduated from the Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas in Dallas in 2009 with a PhD in management science. Before that, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the Aetna School of Management at Shanghai Jiaotong University in China and worked in the supply chain industry for five years.
Her research has appeared in the academic journals Production and Operations Management, SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of the Operations Research Society, Operations Research Letters, Automatica, and Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications.
