Business Career Services Manager
As a past transfer and commuter student, Gelsey attended both San Diego Mesa College and San Diego State University. She graduated from San Diego Mesa College with an Associate of Arts degree in Sociology. Upon transferring to San Diego State University, she then pursued and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership.
Gelsey has a professional background in undergraduate student academic advising, program coordination, and assessment. Previously, she worked as an Academic Advisor at the University of California San Diego. Within this past role, she specifically supported undergraduate STEM student populations in achieving their academic and professional goals. Gelsey’s professional values are centered around transformational, equity-driven leadership and supporting a holistic student learning experience.
