Branding for the web is unique and may not conform to the same principals that apply to other media. Web and mobile standards must take into account various web browser environments, devices, display resolutions, screen sizes, rapidly evolving mobile technology and other factors.
All new University of San Diego websites use a responsive framework. Responsive design is a way of designing websites that can adapt to a range of screen sizes and device types.
Our sandiego.edu website introduces millions of people around the world to the University of San Diego. It is important for the site to display properly on a number of platforms, including computers, tablets and mobile devices of varying sizes. USD’s responsive design fits small screen devices, like phones, held in landscape or portrait mode; the iPad, held in landscape or portrait mode; smaller tablets held in portrait mode; and laptop and desktop computer displays.
