The European Alumni Chapter was established in 1994 by alumni of the School of Business Administration (SBA) who reside in Europe, for the purpose of creating an alumni network for European alumni holding masters degrees from USD. Since then, it has grown steadily from less than a dozen active members to several hundred. In 2000, the members expanded its mission to include all undergraduate and graduate alumni of USD regardless of academic degree. Each year, the European Alumni Chapter holds its Annual Alumni Reunion Weekend in a major European city. This reunion weekend regularly attracts alumni from countries throughout Europe. The program of events for the reunion weekend is developed by an alumni volunteer(s) in conjunction with the Director of International Engagement & Alumni Outreach. The weekend includes a mix of social and professional development activities that are affordable to alumni from every age group.

Did you know? International students have been a part of every generation at USD. Through the generations, European students have been an important part of the University of San Diego. We appreciate and value the perspectives and life experiences of European students and alumni because they help enrich the diversity of our Torero community. With your support, we would like to encourage and award future students from Europe with a merit scholarship!
In 2019, the USD European alumni community established a scholarship for European students from European alumni. This scholarship helped to establish a European philanthropy legacy at the University of San Diego. The inaugural group of donors is comprised of wonderful alumni from various generations and from each of the schools who wanted to give back by paying it forward to the next generations of USD European Toreros. Give now and help future generations of European students have an amazing USD experience just like you did!
