Clinical Placement Clinical Dress Code
Students MUST adhere to the dress code established by the San Diego Nursing Service and Education Consortium and the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science when they are in a clinical setting. Professional attire consists of a clean, proscribed ceil blue scrub top and pant uniform and a lab coat. Shoes must be clean white leather shoes. Students are not allowed to have acrylic nails; body piercings other than earrings (studs only); hair decorations; open-toed, strapless shoes; and must cover tattoos.
For additional questions or clarification please contact the School of Nursing at 619-260-7608. Failure to comply with this policy may result in: 1) removal from a clinical rotation (i.e., the student will be sent home and this will be considered an unexcused absence), 2) removal from a class where clinical attire is to be worn, 3) and/or dismissal from the program if the situation warrants it.
