The Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science maintains a state of the art, high fidelity nursing simulation and standardized patient laboratory. The Clinical Simulation Laboratory is designed to simulate clinical settings, providing graduate Master's Entry students, Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist students the opportunity to develop or enhance their clinical skills in a low stress safe environment. This is accomplished through the use of clinical case scenarios, faculty guidance, and trained actors who simulate standardized clinical scenarios which facilitate critical thinking, physical assessment, and procedure skills. The Hahn simulation lab is unique in the state of California by providing students with videotaped debriefs of their performance which serves to enhance a students learning and skill acquisition.
