Instructional Media Services (IMS) installed what has become our new standard, the AMX Podium I and Podium II that are equipped with the AMX touch panel control. The AMX touch panel will eliminate most of the need to use multiple remote controls by allowing the instructor to power the data projector; select an input (built-in computer, DVD/VHS combination deck, Sympodium, Document Camera or an instructor notebook) from a touch screen panel located within the podium, control volume, raise and lower the electric screen and control the operation of associated equipment that is installed.
We are making every effort to standardize the classroom technology in order to make it easy for faculty to move from one classroom to the next and have a similar teaching experience.
