Making a Reservation
To schedule an event or function for the Rigsby Language and Culture Commons:
|1.||Check the Commons Calendar to make sure the space is available. If you are unable to see the calendar, please request access from Dr. Rebecca Ingram, Assistant Professor of Spanish, or check with Ms. Mary Zetts, Executive Assistant, during regular hours.|
|2.||E-mail Mary Zetts (email@example.com) or Rebecca Ingram (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the following information:|
|•||Name of event, names of speakers;|
|•||Date, start time, and duration of the event;|
|•||Specify if event is open to the public or closed;|
|•||Specify if reservation is for the entire Commons or if your event/meeting can happen simultaneously with other uses of the space (tutoring, for example).|
|3.||Please make reservations requests with a minimum of 72-hours advance notice. Last-minute reservations will be accommodated, if possible, but not guaranteed.|
Priority is given to meetings or events organized by Languages and Literatures faculty and student organizations housed in our department. We welcome events organized by USD faculty or groups from outside of the Languages and Literatures as long as the function relates to the department’s mission and the purpose of the Commons.
Access to the Commons after hours is by key coded USD ID card. The entire process may take up to a week and will require the card holder to go to the office of Campus Card Services.
Please leave the space neat and orderly after your event, disposing of any trash and turning off equipment and overhead projectors as well as closing the windows.
