Be You: Women of Color Virtual Discussion Group

This support group focuses on exploring issues of racial, ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic difference on campus and how it affects our students. If you identify as a woman with a diverse background, this group can be a space for you to connect with others who may have similar experiences and feelings.

Students will recieve a $15 GrubHub voucher for every discusson group they attend. 

This virtual space will meet on Thursdays at 3:00PM-4:00PM PDT on: 

  • Feb 18: Being a Women of Color in 2021! 
  • March 4: Grief & Loss Due to the Pandemic 
  • March 18: How’s the Family? You & Family Relationships 
  • April 8: How are you … really? Being a Woman of Color Student
  • April 22: Building a Virtual Community 
  • May 6: Celebration – Living in our joy!

LGBTIQQ Rainbow Wellness

This wellness group is open for all self-identified LGBTIQQ students to create a space to explore in-depth, the unique stressors that impact the emotional well-being, academic functioning, and the experience of being LGBTIQQ at USD. Members will meet with group facilitators to identify individual goals to accomplish in the group.

LGBTQQ & Allies Discussion Group co-sponsored by DSGA

Come together for an informal discussion made up of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and LGBTQQ ally students.

  • Share your concerns with other students and create community
  • Have a chance to exchange ideas, experiences, and opinions with others
  • Connect with other LGBTQQ/Ally students
  • You don't have to attend every week and can come as often as you'd like
