Assessment Trainings and Events

Student Affairs offers a variety of training sessions and events to empower staff with the skills and knowledge needed to conduct successful assessment work. These offerings are designed to meet individual and divisional assessment needs, providing a platform to share and discuss assessment in a collaborative learning environment.

June Teach-Out

Student Affairs hosts an all-day assessment event every June called the Teach-Out. This event brings the entire division together to learn from and engage with peers about assessment results, specifically as they relate to the Thriving Student Model. All presentations are recorded and available for viewing.

Outcomes:

  • Educate: Attendees will gain an understanding of how insights from the previous summer’s Teach-Out and recent assessment projects have impacted programs and services across the Division of Student Affairs to advance the Thriving Student Model.
  • Ideate: Attendees will identify key areas for improvement and innovation, with intersectional support for student populations across the spectrum of identities and experiences, and develop actionable steps to address gaps within their respective areas.
  • Engage: Attendees will engage with colleagues to foster a sense of community.
