Andrea Boozer is the Director of Operations at The Nonprofit Institute at University of San Diego School of Leadership and Education Sciences, where she provides strategic leadership across operations, financial management, human resources, marketing and communications, development and community engagement, and project and event management. She ensures organizational excellence, policy alignment, and a healthy, inclusive workplace that advances NPI’s mission and community impact.
Andrea is a senior organizational culture leader with experience leading people, culture, and strategic initiatives across higher education, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. Throughout her career, Andrea has been known for her ability to align HR strategy with mission-driven goals, build collaborative cultures, and advance equity and belonging while ensuring operational and regulatory excellence.
A recognized leader in inclusive organizational culture, Andrea has served in volunteer and governance roles for multiple nonprofit organizations. She has represented institutions at national conferences, led DEI initiatives, and partnered with community, employer, and military organizations to expand pathways for education and workforce access. Andrea currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) San Diego Chapter as the Vice President of Sponsorships.
Andrea has an M.A. in Liberal Arts Legal Studies from Harvard University and received a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Northern Kentucky University. She is also certified as a Title IX Coordinator, Civil Rights Investigator and as a Mediator for Conflict Resolution.
