Campus RJ: Restorative Justice for Higher Ed
Our Campus RJ Project supports training, implementation, and research for restorative justice across student affairs and academic affairs in higher education institutions. We maintain a list of restorative campuses and a list of research articles focused on Campus RJ. Contact us to add or update either of these lists.
Campus PRISM: Promoting restorative initiatives for sexual misconduct on college campuses
The Campus PRISM Project (Promoting Restorative Initiatives for Sexual Misconduct) includes an international team of researchers and practitioners who are deeply invested in reducing sexual and gender-based violence by exploring how a restorative approach may provide more healing and better accountability.
NCORJ: The National Center on Restorative Justice
The National Center on Restorative Justice is a partnership between Vermont Law and Graduate School, the University of Vermont, the University of San Diego, and the U.S. Office of Justice Programs. Funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), we educate and train the next generation of justice leaders and to support and lead research focusing on restorative justice and addressing social inequities to improve criminal justice policy and practice in the United States.
National Restorative Coaching Program
The NCORJ’s National Restorative Coaching Program (NRCP) provides restorative justice practitioners with individualized support in restorative skills, frameworks, and programmatic implementation. One-on-one coaching is delivered by restorative justice leaders who have a depth of experience from a wide range of restorative justice contexts. As a continuation of formal training, coaching aims to deepen the innate capabilities and confidence of practitioners nationwide.
RJNCC: Restorative Justice Network of Catholic Campuses
Recognizing a natural alignment between the philosophy of restorative justice and the guiding ideals of the Catholic social tradition, the RJNCC encourages Catholic campuses to articulate and cultivate restorative principles and to assist each other in strengthening interest, commitment and implementation of restorative practices on their campuses.
Rx for RJ: Prescribing Restorative Justice for Education in the Health Professions
Tailored specifically for the unique dynamics and conflicts common in medical schools and other colleges/departments devoted to higher education for healthcare professionals, the Rx for RJ Project introduces restorative practices education in the health professions as a way to address learner mistreatment and provide a community-building response to improve the learning environment. As part of the Rx for RJ Project, we work closely with the Association of American Medical Colleges to support restorative applications in academic medicine.
University of San Diego RJ Strategic Committee
The University of San Diego RJ Strategic Committee is a group of practitioners, who work together to advance campus-wide RJ initiatives in an effort to create a restorative university. Departments represented include: The Center for Restorative Justice, Office of Ethical Development and Restorative Practices, Mission Integration, University Centers and Staff Development, Graduate Student Life, Residential Life, and Student Wellness.
