Salome Tulay is a Liberian Feminist and Women’s Rights Defender. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Women and Children Initiatives Inc, a non-profit Liberian based local organization that work to educate, empower and advocate for women and children. She is also the Co-founder of the Women Empowerment Network, a network of 45 plus women led organizations that has come under one umbrella to work on tackling issues that affects women, girls and the marginalized in society. In her quest for gender equality, she has worked with various women networks in Liberia on campaigns Influencing policies that affects or abused women's rights, like the Domestic Violence Act that was signed into law by the President of Liberia in 2019. She is passionate about her work in taking the fight for equality and justice to rural Liberia, especially those areas that are not easily accessible.
