Peace Evaluation and Accompanied Research

From Seed to Success

Guiding Partners From Data to Transformation

Based in the dynamic San Diego-Tijuana borderlands, Peace Evaluation and Accompanied Research (PEAR) provides design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning services that bring peace science to and peace conscience together. We recognize that the most meaningful interventions are often not designed by technocrats, but planted, watered, tended, and lovingly pruned. Our work bridges rigorous data analysis with relational accompaniment, helping partners—from community-based organizations to international NGOs—cultivate their own capacity to learn, adapt, and bring their ideas to fruition.

How We Work

The PEAR Method

At PEAR, evaluation is not a single event but a living cycle of collaboration and learning. We help partners navigate every stage of their program’s evolution — or join them wherever they are — weaving accompaniment through it all. Our approach ensures that peacebuilding practice remains grounded in evidence, guided by relationship, and adaptive to change.
