Kylee Joelle Ocampo is a dual-degree student pursuing a Juris Doctor at the University of San Diego School of Law and a Master of Arts in Peace and Justice at the Joan B. Kroc School. A proud Filipina and San Diego native, Kylee is committed to advancing gender equity and inclusive policymaking through the intersection of legal advocacy, conflict transformation, and community empowerment.

Her commitment to equity-driven research began during her time at UC Irvine, where she completed the Social Ecology Honors Program and conducted a qualitative research thesis titled “Impacts of Intersectionality Under Title IX as a Response to Sexual Assault.” Her research explored how race, gender, and sexuality influence students’ experiences navigating institutional responses to campus sexual violence, laying a foundation for her current work at the intersection of law, policy, and peacebuilding.

Kylee aims to integrate legal frameworks and peacebuilding principles to strengthen institutional accountability and empower women as agents of peace. She looks forward to contributing to research, policy initiatives, and community partnerships that align with the Kroc IPJ’s mission to advance justice and build sustainable peace.
