Cultivating Local Leadership
The Kroc School's San Diego Community Scholars Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating leaders in the nonprofit and social impact sectors, specifically those serving underserved communities throughout San Diego County, with special consideration given to applicants working in Linda Vista, Logan Heights/Barrio Logan, City Heights, and areas south and east of the University of San Diego.
This fellowship provides a full tuition scholarship for students pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Innovation or Conflict Management and Resolution, allowing them to continue making a positive impact within the San Diego community while advancing their education.

How the San Diego Community Fellowship Works
To be eligible, students must meet the following qualifications:
- Currently employed at a nonprofit or social impact organizations that are focused on underserved communities in within San Diego County.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Applying to the Master's degree in Social Innovation or Masters's degree in Conflict Management and Resolution in Fall 2026.
- Exhibit leadership potential and a desire to continue contributing to positive social change in the city of San Diego.
How to Start Your Path to USD
We streamline the application process for students who want to take advantage of the Kroc School's San Diego Community Fellowship. While the Kroc School does not require the GRE or a graduate school application fee, students still need to apply for their program of interest.
