Certificate in Health Care Informatics Program Admission Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree from an approved, accredited college or university
  • Basic computer and information management skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basic statistics course
  • Medical terminology course
  • Minimum of 50 hours as a volunteer in an acute care setting preferred
  • One year of work experience preferred
  • GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Completion of the University Application for the Certificate Program in Health Care Informatics
  • One official transcript from each college or university attended
    (An official evaluation by World Education Services (www.wes.org) is required for all international transcripts.)
  • Three professional recommendations
  • Resume/CV
  • Interview (qualified applicants will be contacted to interview based on initial review of their application)
  • International applicants must meet additional requirements additional requirements for admission

The priority application deadline is March 1 for Fall and November 1 for Spring. All materials must be received by the priority deadlines to receive priority consideration.
