This is your USD News Minute.
OLÉ! Weekend begins next weekend with new and returning students moving back into dorms on campus to begin the fall semester. And, if you’re looking for items for your dorm, be sure to check out EcoShop, a free outdoor thrift event that offers incoming students gently used dorm essentials donated by other Toreros during move-out weekend. EcoShop will be set up on Torero Way outside of the law library on Saturday, August 29 from 11:30-3:30 - and will be first come, first serve.
As the semester begins, we want you to be aware of construction underway for the Shiley STEM Initiative Building which will involve construction vehicles entering and exiting the worksite across from the Hahn University Center. Parking lots have also been impacted. Please visit the Parking Services website for up-to-date information.
And, join the USD community at the upcoming KPBS San Diego Book Festival on Saturday, August 22 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The free community event is open for readers of all ages and will feature panel discussions with award-winning authors, activities, live entertainment, exhibitors including independent booksellers, local authors, food trucks and more.
