This is your USD News Minute.
Congratulations to No. 15 men's Tennis who had an unprecedented season this year, making it into their first ever Sweet 16. The team finished their season with a 22-6 record, winning its fifth straight WCC Regular Season title and third straight WCC Tournament crown.
USD graduating senior Anna Vermeulen spent last Wednesday as “President for a Day.” She swapped places with USD President James T. Harris III who in turn had the opportunity to walk a day in her shoes. This year, Vermeulen had a busy schedule attending various meetings and events while President Harris visited one of her classes and took over her extracurricular activities. Visit the USD News Center for more.
And, donation pods are officially open tomorrow for EcoExit, a student-led initiative that tackles move-out waste. Students can donate dorm items like rugs, lamps or household items to one of six pods around campus, helping to divert that waste from ending up in a landfill. Last year, thousands of pounds of student items were re-used and students moving into campus were able to shop the items for free during move-in weekend. Visit the link below for more information.
As always, thank you for watching and we’ll see you next week.
