USD Athletics has named JR Blount as the 15th head coach in San Diego men's basketball program history. Blount arrives in San Diego with a reputation as one of college basketball's rising coaching talents after helping lead Iowa State to four NCAA Tournament appearances in four seasons. Welcome, Coach Blount!
Last week, the U.S. Postal Service, in partnership with USD, the City of San Diego and the San Diego Public Library, unveiled new Lowriders stamps celebrating lowrider culture. Ethnic studies professor Alberto Pulido was instrumental in the creation of the stamps and took part in the unveiling ceremony.
