Alina Mitchell

Alina Mitchell is an Instructional Designer in the Learning Design Center at the University of San Diego. She has a broad educational background including serving in the areas of K-12 education, higher education, STEAM Enrichment, and Instructional Design. She was formerly an Associate Director of Academic Innovation & Technology, Learning Experience Specialist, and K-12 principal in the Southern California region. Throughout her career, she has introduced educators and students to emerging technologies and opportunities including coding, virtual reality, robotics, and SCUBA diving. 

Alina holds a B.A. in English/Professional Writing and Minor in Business Management and a M.A. in Secondary Education & English, along with an eLearning/Instructional Design certification, which she uses to develop online courses and professional development training for teachers.
