Learning Design Center

The Learning Design Center (LDC) was formed to promote, enhance and support the design of innovative learning experiences that extend beyond the physical classroom. The LDC collaborates with faculty members and subject matter experts to design quality online and hybrid course curricula that is modern, impactful and representative of the University of San Diego’s commitment to academic excellence.

With a focus on teaching and learning, the LDC provides faculty members professional development, on-demand support, instructional design, and guidance when incorporating the latest learning technologies into their approach to teaching. These comprehensive services are available to all faculty members who utilize Blackboard as the delivery platform for their course materials whether they teach face-to-face, online or hybrid courses.

We welcome all faculty members to contact us with questions, support needs or on-demand training by calling, emailing or scheduling a one-on-one consultation with our support analysts.

New faculty have access to online technology training through the Teaching with Technology at USD organization on Blackboard. All technology resources and support information can be found here.
