Steps for Transferring the Role of Principal Investigator to Another Researcher
Changing a researcher’s role requires a Modification application to be submitted in Cayuse.
The current Principal Investigator (PI) must first log into the existing application in Cayuse and begin the Modification application which can be accessed by clicking on the blue button in the top right corner that reads “New Submission”.
Then the current PI must:
Remove their name
Insert the name of the person who will be the new PI
Click on “Save”
Following this update, the new PI will need to attach their IRB training certificate and complete the template with any additional changes to the study.
After these changes are made, be sure to click on complete submission, confirm and certify. The Modification application is fully submitted when "Awaiting Org Approval" appears.
