ACTR/ACCELS Grants- Partial funding provided to support language training in Russian and other East European and Central Asian languages on study abroad programs sponsored by ACTR/ACCELS.
Boren Awards- The Boren Awards fund the intensive study of language and culture abroad by U.S. undergraduate or graduate students. All eligible applicants have the option to either apply for a Regional Flagship Language Initiative or select/design their own study program.
Bridging Scholarship- The Bridging Scholarship is a life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Japan in a credit-bearing semester or academic-year program. Each year 75-100 academically outstanding, financially deserving U.S. undergraduate students are selected as Bridging Scholars. In addition to receiving a cash stipend, Bridging Scholars participate in cohort programming designed to assist students build a future as a global citizen with a lifelong connection to Japan.
Freeman Asia- Freeman Awards for Study in Asia provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia.
Japanese Government Scholarships- There are four types of Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships awarded to U.S. citizens: those for research students, undergraduate students, Japanese studies students, and special training college students.
Japanese Language Scholarship Foundation Aurora Challenge Grant- The grant awards U.S. citizens who resides in California with a creative dream or challenge that, when fulfilled, would contribute to global goodwill and intercultural appreciation.
Tomodachi Internship Program Scholarship- Created in response to President Obama's and Prime Minister Abe's commitment to facilitate Japanese internship opportunities for American students, Temple University is able to award scholarships of up to $5,000 to qualified students.
Temple Stuby Abroad Student Scholarship- Non-Temple students may apply for this scholarship to help defray the costs of studying abroad. Several $500-$3,000 scholarships are awarded each fall and spring semester, and several scholarships ranging from $500-$4,000 are awarded for summer programs. To be eligible for these awards, applicants must be full-time, matriculated undergraduates; receive need-based financial aid; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75; and enroll as a full-time student abroad.
University Engineering Scholarship- The University Engineering Scholarship (UES) is open to Polytechnic Diploma holders from Singapore who are pursuing a full-time Engineering or Technology-related undergraduate programme at one of the following Autonomous University: National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).
