Esther started her journey at the University of San Diego at La Gran Terraza Restaurant in 2017, after working several years in hospitality around the United States.
Esther was born and raised in the Netherlands, where she completed a BA in Hospitality Management at International Hotelschool, The Hague. Esther spent time working and travelling in Australia before she started college and has traveled extensively in Europe and Central America. These experiences sparked her passion for cultures and global citizenship.
Her experiences as an immigrant, her international internships in the U.S and working closely with the USD students on Team La gran Terraza ignited her passion to pursue a career in international education. As a Senior Study Abroad Manager, Esther's role focuses primarily on advising and supporting students as they engage in international education experiences as well as facilitating, planning, and traveling during short-term programs abroad.
In her role as a Senior Study Abroad Manager, Esther is interested in guiding students to make the best out of their study abroad experience as well as assisting in fulfilling their personal and academic goals.
