Services: The Immigration Clinic provides comprehensive immigration representation before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and removal defense representation before the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR). Law students under the direct supervision of a licensed immigration attorney, assist clients with a range of immigration issues, such as naturalization, lawful permanent residency, derivative citizenship, deferred action, U-visas, and VAWA for domestic violence, trafficking, and other abuse victims. Law students may attend U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services interviews related to their clients’ applications. Law students may also attend and participate in community immigration outreach.
Client eligibility: USD students, faculty and alumni and otherwise based on financial need. Please identify If you are a USD student, employee or alum in the initial screening or any messages left with the clinic voicemail.
