Beyond Your First Day

During your first couple of weeks, you may be scheduled for relevant Learning and Development sessions. Here are some additional things to accomplish:

Visit Campus Card Services in University Center, Room 127 to get your Torero ID card.

Visit Parking Services in University Center, Room 102 to purchase a parking permit. You may purchase your parking pass online, by clicking the "All Employees" section and choosing "Click Here."

Work with your supervisor to complete the “Staff and Faculty User Registration Form” for ITS. This form will allow ITS to give you access to your computer and database responsibilities.

Update your Find People information by accessing the USD Office and Phone Directory Change Request Form.

Make sure you are completing your timecard appropriately and find out submission dates and procedures (hourly employees only). Click here for instructions on how to submit your timecard in English. Click here for instructions on how to submit your timecard in Spanish.

Learn how to use departmental database systems (if applicable).

Clarify any performance or policy questions you may have with your supervisor.

If accessing or potentially accessing student records is part of your job, you will be required to complete a FERPA training program. For more information on how to complete this program, please visit our Compliance Training website.
