My name is Evelin, a second-year student majoring in Political Science and Sociology and minoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. In addition to my studies, I work part-time at USD’s telefunding center! If you don’t know, the telefunding center employs students from across campus, allowing us to connect with USD alumni.
One of my favorite things about getting to talk with alumni is receiving advice from people who were in my shoes not long ago. I’ve received amazing guidance about the many paths I can take to succeed after college. My goal is to go to law school and I’ve been given so many tips to better prepare myself for the challenges and opportunities that will arise. In addition to receiving advice, I love sharing my passion for USD and how alumni like you can help students like me pursue our dreams.
I'm also a recipient of the Trustee Scholarship and this has exceptionally impacted my USD experience by ensuring that I am able to focus on my academics and not become distressed by financial burdens. If it wasn’t for my scholarship, I would not have been able to pursue a USD education as my financial situation would have become an obstacle in pursuing my dreams.
