Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – Kappa Xi Chapter was chartered at San Diego State University in 1980, becoming a vital part of the legacy of Zeta excellence in the San Diego community. Founded on January 16, 1920, at Howard University, Zeta Phi Beta was created to raise the bar for what it means to be a woman of scholarship, service, and purpose. The mission of Zeta Phi Beta is to foster the ideals of service, charity, scholarship, civil and cultural endeavors, sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. The Kappa Xi Chapter lives out this mission by actively supporting the personal and professional development of its members through community engagement, educational programming, and leadership opportunities. From mentoring and cultural events to civic involvement and philanthropy, Zeta women in the Kappa Xi Chapter continue to be a force for positive change throughout San Diego.
