Andrea Godfrey Flynn is a professor of marketing at the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business. Prior to her academic career, she worked for several years in the consulting engineering industry. Her research interests involve applying empirical models of consumer behavior to guide customer management strategies in retail and service settings.
Professor Flynn's recent research investigates how industries market directly to the public to influence public opinion toward the industry and its practices. Her research has appeared in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research and American Journal of Preventive Medicine. She serves on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Service Research and the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing.
She regularly teaches classes in the Knauss School of Business’ undergraduate programs, MBA and Master of Science in Business Analytics.
