Nikhil Yadav, PhD, is an associate professor and chair of computer science at USD’s Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering. His research focuses on pervasive computing and the application of artificial intelligence to build contextually aware computing systems. Prior to joining USD, Dr. Yadav served as computer science faculty at St. John’s University in New York where he facilitated ABET accreditation, and led the Information Technology and internship programs. Dr. Yadav maintains an active collaboration with industry and serves as the consulting CTO for Collidescope Inc., a firm working to activate and empower social change through cutting-edge digital ESG solutions. He has worked in industry software engineering positions and his entrepreneurial drive enabled a technology startup based on his research in speech biomarker analysis as a doctoral student at the University of Notre Dame. He enjoys actively publishing research articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and regularly serves on the program committee of international conferences.
