- Tania Batson, CSPG
Tania Batson most recently served as the Director of Planned Giving and Major Gifts at the San Diego Symphony. During her tenure, she increased the Symphony’s Legacy Society membership by over 25% and played an important role in the $125 million capital campaign that culminated in the opening of The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. While at the San Diego Symphony, she earned her CSPG and wrote the Symphony’s first Gift Acceptance Policy that was approved by the Board of Directors in 2019. Prior to arriving in San Diego, Ms. Batson was the Director of Special Events and Major Gifts at the Pacific Symphony in Orange County. She successfully increased participation in annual giving, managed the Pacific Youth Symphony and Symphony League volunteer boards, and launched the annual Lunar New Year Gala and Concert as part of the Pacific Symphony’s focused initiative to engage new and diverse audiences. Tania began her advancement career at the Claremont School of Theology in Alumni Relations. While at Claremont, her work included the development of a Korean language alumni newsletter and the popular reimagining of the annual Scholarship Luncheon and Alumni and Friends Day. Prior to her career in advancement, Tania performed as a classical soprano in concert, opera, recital and musical theatre performances across the United States. Ms. Batson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Emory University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University.
