What is a Smart Store?
This micro convenience store runs on robotics and is located in Olin Hall (level 1) within the Knauss Center for Business Education.
Stop in for snacks, beverages, grab and go meals and more! The technology allows for frictionless retail with a next-gen, low touch shopping experience that uses computer vision and artificial intelligence. Numerous cameras detect each product to provide a seamless shopping experience. (There is no facial recognition involved).
How to Access and Shop the Store
To enter the store you must have an account:
- Download the free 'USD Smart Market' mobile app via: Apple or Google Play stores
- Create your account within the app and add a credit card for payment
- Once you create your account, when you open the app, there will be a QR Code - scan the code at the entrance kiosk
- Shop for your items
- Exit the store. Your items will be charged to the credit card connected to your account.

Save all semester with a Sustain-a-Bottle refill plan! The Coca-Cola freestyle machine at the smart market only accepts Sustain-a-Bottles. This unique reusable drinkware and a semester fill plan will help you save on each fill while also saving resources!

Payment
After you exit, payment will be processed to the Credit Card associated with your account. You will receive a receipt (in your account within the app) within 24 hours of purchase.
