Undergraduates in Theatre at USD produce a play in the Studio Theatre every fall semester, exploring a variety of production genres in a four-year cycle: musicals, classical dramatic literature, contemporary plays and new works.

During the spring semester, we also provide an opportunity for students to participate in a Student Lab production, a laboratory process for students to learn and develop their craft through opportunities in performance, directing, design, writing and technical theatre.

Occasionally, our undergraduate students are given the opportunity to audition for productions through our MFA program. The MFA cohort produces two plays every spring, and co-produces a Shakespeare play in the fall, with The Old Globe Theatre.
