Embedded Ethics Certificate Curriculum

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Certificate program, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a proficiency in thinking critically about contemporary ethical issues.
  2. Appreciate and effectively practice the application of ethical theories and concepts to questions concerning modern innovations.
  3. Identify and address, and help others to identify and address, the social and ethical aspects of technologies from early research and development phases to their use and possible regulation.
  4. Develop and present, orally and/or in writing, an original project addressing the intersection of emerging technology with its social and ethical impacts.
