About the Behavioral Medicine Lab

Behavioral medicine focuses on the biopsychosocial variables that impact the health and wellness of individuals and communities. Research includes predicting factors that make us sick, those that help to make us well and keep us well as well as how we cope with illness.

Professor Sandra Sgoutas-Emch, PhD, is currently working on two projects with USD's Mulvaney Center on measuring community partnerships and the efficacy of an institutional rubric as a development tool for better partnerships.
