Current Program

USD's University of the Third Age program brings a holistic approach to learning as well as provides a great venue to meet new people and top experts from San Diego.

Program Description

Each U3A session is a three-week unique university experience that exposes attendees to some of San Diego’s most sought-after experts in areas including medicine, technology, health, religion, government, business, military, not-for-profits, humanities and the arts.

Each presentation is approximately 45 minutes and followed by a rich Q&A dialogue with the expert.

In addition to presentations, the program also takes you off campus to participate in field trips that engage you in experiential learning throughout San Diego County.

Lastly, you can participate in an optional Technology Workshop where you learn how to operate your smart devices, including phones, tablets and social media applications, walking you through settings and general digital setup.
