The Community Engagement and Civic Learning (CECL) program at the University of San Diego offers students the opportunity to connect their liberal arts education with direct, impactful experiences in the community.
The program helps students to complement and deepen the theoretical and conceptual learning on campus through engagement with local or international organizations, non-profits, community leaders or groups. Students engage in building meaningful relationships, understanding community needs, critically examining the distribution of power, and applying different forms of knowledge to real-world challenges.
