The Career Development Center During COVID-19

Micro-Internships

The Career Development Center has a new way for you to take part in short-term, professional, PAID Micro-Internships experiences, all through a partnership with Parker Dewey.  Whether you have found yourself with a canceled summer internship or a full-time offer stuck in a hiring freeze, these short-term remote opportunities can be the perfect way to get paid while building skills.

  • What are Micro-Internships?  Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments that are similar to work given to new hires or interns.  These projects happen year-round and typically range from 5-40 hours of work that is completed within one week to one month.  These experiences can help you explore different career paths or demonstrate your abilities to potential employers while building your professional portfolio and network.
  • Who are Micro-Internships For?  These experiences are open to all University of San Diego students and alumni.  Want to make the most out of summer break or intersession break?  In the middle of a career transition and hoping to gain skills?  Just graduated and still searching for the next full-time opportunity?  Use these flexible opportunities as a way to get paid at no cost to you.
