Chief Operating Officer, NAIOP San Diego
Karen currently serves as the chief operating officer of NAIOP San Diego and SIOR San Diego chapters. She works with with association members and prospective members to create lasting experiences through networking, stellar programming and compelling levels of sponsorship visibility, donations and career enhancement. Karen brings more than thirty years of association management experience, encompassing all aspects of association and nonprofit administration and executive director leadership. Her strong operations background gives her a broad base of experience with which to elevate an organization’s profile and she excels at fundraising, marketing and event management. Karen is well known in the industry as a trusted, proactive and informed advisor and has a strong philanthropic background, always striving to give back to the community, both financially and as a mentor. She has been named one of Southern California's "Most Powerful Women" by GlobeSt.com; was awarded the "Community Influencer Award" by San Diego Business Journal; "Women Who Impact Business" by SD Metro Magazine; and was recently named a "Women of Influence" by Real Estate Forum magazine. Karen received her bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego and also studied at the Sorbonne-Paris and the American College of Paris. In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband and family.
