President, Sandy Point Properties
Steve is the owner of Sandy Point Properties, an infill developer in San Diego County. Prior to Sandy Point, Steve began his career with Nasland Engineering. Upon completion of law school from the University of San Diego (USD), he joined Pardee Construction Company as vice president. Subsequently, he joined the Baldwin Company as vice president and then moved to Brookfield Homes as group president—a position he held for 17 years. Aside from sitting on the Burnham-Moores Center’s policy advisory board, Steve currently serves on numerous boards at SDSU and on the USD School of Law board of visitors. Steve received the “Distinguished Alumni Award” from SDSU in 2008 and the “Distinguished Alumni Award” from the USD School of Law in 2011. Steve was previously the president of the SDBIA and the CBIA. Steve earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from San Diego State University and a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law.
