Gus Avarello '16 is a member of the Development & Investment team at Trammell Crow Company, where he focuses on multifamily, industrial, and life science development opportunities throughout Southern California, with an emphasis on San Diego. In his role, Gus is involved in all phases of the development and investment lifecycle, including sourcing new opportunities, market research and analysis, due diligence, underwriting, leasing, and asset management.
Prior to joining Trammell Crow Company, Gus worked as a Manager at KPMG in the Real Estate Valuation and Consulting group. During his tenure, he valued more than $8 billion of institutional-quality real estate across global markets and reviewed over $50 billion in real estate valuations in support of external clients and KPMG Audit. He also completed a 22-month international rotation with KPMG UK.
Gus earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, where he double majored in real estate and finance, and his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is an active member of NAIOP San Diego and ULI San Diego and serves on the UCLA Real Estate Alumni Group Board. A native San Diegan, Gus is passionate about investing in and contributing to the growth of his hometown.
