Catherine Northcutt joined the University of San Diego in 2014. She oversees the recruitment, admissions, and industry engagement efforts for the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) program. As a brand ambassador, Catherine’s involvement in various professional trade organizations enhances the program's visibility and helps students identify valuable opportunities for building relationships.

Within the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate team, Catherine supports each student’s holistic success through her personalized approach to communication and connection, spanning from recruitment to graduation and beyond. A notable example of her contribution is the introduction and implementation of the Building Relationships Series, which strengthens students' focus, performance, and engagement with the industry to support their career success.

Catherine also supports strategic initiatives that foster inclusion and a sense of belonging. She is an ICF-certified business coach and a licensed realtor. Catherine earned a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in higher education leadership from the University of San Diego. She graduated in 2024 with her doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Concordia University-Irvine, successfully defending her dissertation which examined social capital effects on career success in the commercial real estate industry. Born and raised in San Diego, Catherine and her husband Dan have two children. A Torero family, her son graduated from the Knauss School of Business in 2022 with a major in real estate. Her daughter graduated in 2023 from the Knauss School of Business with a major in accountancy.
