Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage

The Way is Calling: The Next Camino de Santiago

Thanks to an overwhelming response from the interest list community, the 2027 Camino de Santiago pilgrimage is officially SOLD OUT!

If you weren't able to secure a spot, we encourage you to join our official waitlist by submitting this form. Should a space become available, we will reach out to waitlisted travelers in the order requests are received.

The next Camino de Santiago pilgrimage is scheduled for June 2–15, 2027. This iconic journey across Northern Spain is more than just a trek; it is a profound experience of faith, reflection, community, and discovery.

Important Journey Details:

  • Physical Fitness: Pilgrims should be in good physical condition and be prepared to walk approximately 120 km (75 miles) over seven consecutive days. The Camino route traverses a diverse landscape that includes everything from paved roads and ancient cobblestones to rugged forest paths and loose gravel trails. Pilgrims must expect frequent elevation changes, including steady inclines and descents through the rolling Galician hills. In addition, pilgrims should be able to climb stairs of varying heights (sometimes without a handrail), as well as on and off vehicles, public/private transportation, trains, and/or boats unassisted. Also, due to circumstances beyond our control, elevators and/or ramps may not be available at restaurants, museums, and/or venues.
  • Eligibility: The 2027 Camino de Santiago pilgrimage is exclusively designed for the USD community. While guests are welcome, the primary trip registrant must have a direct relationship to USD as an alumnus/alumna, parent, or donor.
  • Exclusive Capacity: To maintain an intimate experience, this pilgrimage will be limited to 30 guests.
  • Priority Booking: Spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Securing Your Space: A $500 non-refundable deposit per person will be required.
  • Price: $6,495 per person, based on double occupancy (does not include airfare).

A Look Back to 2022 and 2024

In a world with billions of people, on a pilgrimage completed by millions over the course of nine centuries, Toreros flew thousands of miles to reach Portugal and Spain to take El Camino, the Way of St. James. Together, we walked many miles across cities, villages, valleys, and forests to reach the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Through love, laughter, tears of joy and sorrow, sharing stories, singing, meal-sharing, Mass, meditation, prayer, and so much more - these Torero pilgrims are now bonded for life as a Camino family. To those that participated in our 2022 and 2024 Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, thank you for being an integral part of this incredible and life-changing journey.
