What did you do after college that led you to ministry at USD? I graduated with a business economics degree and utilized it as a financial consultant. I enjoyed working with entrpreneurs and learning about the debt and equity markets. However, I first felt called to the priesthood when I was a second year student here at USD studying abroad in Florence, Italy. A gentle but continuous pull eventually led me to the seminary and I was ordained a priest in the jubilee year, 2000. I served as a parish priest in the Diocese of Orange before joining the University Ministry team at USD.

When did you start working here? 2017

Primary Role/Programs that you assist with in UM:  My primary role is coordinating the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program and the Lenten Retreat. I am a Resident University Chaplain in the Alcala Vistas and the proud Chaplain of the Torero Men's Basketball team. I meet with students individually for pastoral counseling and spiritual accompaniment. I love to see our students search for truth and flourish in faith.

Hobbies: Being outdoors with friends, specifically deep sea and fly fishing. I love ocean swimming and sailing. I also enjoy eighteenth century literature from the Romantic era, as I slowly pursue an English and Writing degree. Cooking and dining with friends and family enriches my life.
