Welcome to the Liberal Studies major website. The Liberal Studies major is the major for future elementary school teachers. The major offers instruction in the content and pedagogy you will need to teach in an elementary classroom. With careful planning, the major allows you to graduate in nine semesters with a preliminary multiple subjects credential.

Program highlights:

• opportunities to work with elementary school children
• special sections of content courses designed for future teachers
• instructors in the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Leadership and Education Sciences who are dedicated to teaching excellence
• comprehensive advising throughout enrollment from professors Dr. Kay Etheridge and Dr. Lynn McGrath in the College of Arts and Sciences and an assigned professor from the School of Leadership and Education Sciences.
